A perfect place to relax . Made out of cypress wood from a sustainably managed US forest. The ample seat space and open angle of the back make this a great place to sit with friends or to stretch out for a nap.
I was asked to build this front door for a new contemporary modern residence in the Palisades. Solid 3/4 inch teak sandwiched on a core piece of plywood (no formaldehyde) with two narrow windows cut into the 8 foot door. The whole thing(about 650 pounds) hangs on pivots and works with a magnetic lock. No door handles required. Opens both ways.
This was a junk filled overgrown backyard. I was asked to create an attractive outdoor patio. I used fsc certified douglas fir to create the open slated roof. I built the fence afterward treating it with natural stain oil. For the roof I draped unbleached organic cotton fabric over the wood slats to create a zen like feel.
